It is best to cut it wafer thin. A nice product on a pizza or through a pasta. You will find real Italian top meat products in our webshop.

Prosciutto crudo has never been heated or cooked. This product is only air-dried in the special maturing chambers.
As far as can be seen, this product has already been consumed. After all, it can be kept at room temperature and this was easy on long trips.

This ham is made from Italian pigs. After ripening, the meat is so soft that it melts on the tongue. The meat has a delicious salty bite with a sweet aroma.

Meat consists for a large part of water. By adding salt and then maturing the hams, the moisture is extracted from the ham. This benefits the quality of the product, but also the taste. In the end, the ham is 25% lighter than before ripening. So you get more value for money with a Crudo ham.

Crudo ham is made from the hind legs of the pig. In Italy, the pigs must be at least months old before they are eligible for this ham. Not much is added during the production process. Herbs and the like are out of the question. Just salt and time, that’s all it takes for the delicious taste. The product remains uncut well at room temperature. It is therefore unnecessary to freeze the meat , this is also very bad for the quality and taste of the ham.

Crudo without bone

Because this piece contains no bone, you can easily cut it. Keep in mind that it is better if you slice the ham wafer thin.
